DCC – Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders!

Believe it or not, Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, Making the team is required viewing in our house!  And best of all – not by me! It’s actually my wife’s rule, ha!

So,  we were watching the show today and I was taken aback with the ‘bigger’ girls that were trying out!  Oh yeah!

(You see I’m a reverse Shallow Hal – Big is Beautiful!) And I was saying ‘About Time!’

But, of course, it was just the part of the tryouts where they let everyone show up and my girls didn’t get even close to making the real tryouts – bummer.

So anyways it got me to thinking about my DCC love Erica Jenkins.

Does anyone know why she’s not on the team this year?

For my birthday, I actually got an autographed pic of her from my wife. Sweet, huh?

Now that I think about it, I think she’s my friend on MySpace… I’ll be back…

In the meantime, here’s a vid from the CMT site, enjoy!

U2, Snow Patrol, and me. Oh and you too!

U2 opened up their US tour in Chicago last week with an astounding show.

Opening up for the band was a band I had never heard of until I checked online before the show, Snow Patrol. Of course, mind you, I’m a work at home researcher and for the most part just listen to a select few tunes (Mark Romero and Kute Blackson among the top) and havent really listened to too much of what’s out there lately.

What I found on youtube was pretty good. They have a great sound and the front man kinda reminds me of a good friend, Ned Kraft, except with a shorter haircut and a British accent, ha!

Here’s a vid from this group. Check it out!

Michael Jackson Tribute at the Apollo Theater

This summer, we went to NYC to do research at Columbia University. While we were there we stayed at a very nice apartment we found through Home Away.

We were able to walk to Apollo Theater from where we were staying and see the tribute that was being built at the Apollo by all of Jackson’s fans.

It was a moving sight, with people dancing and singing and crying. Lots of people were there when we got there and I took some video to share with everyone who wasn’t able to make the trip.

Here’s the vid below, enjoy!
